Ryan Johnston is a 30-year student of the fire service, with the last 24 years as a career firefighter. Ryan is also a rescue technician at the Waterville Fire Department in Maine. He is also a lieutenant in his hometown with the Oakland Fire Department. 

Ryan is also a contributing writer for Firefighter Nation and a charter member of the Managing Officer Program at The National Fire Academy.
